Lychees

A summer treat. Lychees are ugly on the outside and sweet and delicate on the inside. The fruit taste like a mix of grapefruit and melon. Best cold, the fruit is native to China but like anything these days, you can probably find it in your local grocery.

  1. Good afternoon from New Orleans!

Kathleen, we *love* lychees. At the end of every meal while we were in Beijing and at times in Tokyo, we were served freeze-dried or ice cold lychee. It was so delicious! I often detected a rose-like scent to them, which made it all the more refreshing.

Thank you for reminding me to hunt these delicious fruits down!

    Warmly,

    Elizabeth

PS~I stopped by the Silver Plum yesterday, saw something that looked remarkably like your little boy PJ dinosaur set, and after a conversation with the owner learned they were expecting some of your fabulous items! The owner had the nicest things to say about you and your clothing line, and are anxiously awaiting their shippment. They cannot wait to show it off to everyone!
