Let me just say, I almost leaped out of my chair when hearing this news. Garrett Popcorn, based in Chicago is one of those places that once you eat there, you crave it and constantly compare other popcorn to "that amazing popcorn we had that time in Chicago." My sweet sister in-law even brought us some last Christmas all the way from Chi-Town (we were in Alabama at the time.)
But alas!
We will get our very own Garrett Popcorn right here in Hong Kong and even better, it will be in IFC Mall. IFC is so easy for us- Daddy Roux's office is above it. Friday treats for sure! Not to mention the famous Christmas tradition of a huge tin of mixed popcorn under the tree! We will have it this year.
Maybe it is because I am preggo, but I am already dying for this place to open. Lets just hope they can reproduce the same cheesy goodness that I remember! Yummo!
Get ready HK! If you thought the sweet popcorn at the movies was a treat... this is going to knock your socks off!
