Hmmm. Cajun people loathe and despite Chinese crawfish, but I think you can just enjoy it without significant recrimination. You are very far from home. Enjoy a nice etoufee.
Laurie, I know! Our guide in Beijing told us that Chinese people do not like crawfish much because they originally came from Japan and would eat dead bodies....so sick. These were at a food stand at a night market in Beijing, that is the only place I have seen them so far. Not too many in Hong Kong. I will be home for Christmas and I will get my fill of LA crawfish...even if they are frozen.
